How do I avoid dry skin?

Dry skin on the body or face can make you feel uncomfortable.

With age, your skin becomes drier as it becomes thinner and thus gradually loses the ability to retain its elasticity and water content.

Fortunately, it is possible to combat and prevent dry skin. It is an advantage if you know your skin type and skin condition. The frequency of care and the products vary, depending on whether you have very dry skin, a little dry skin, sensitive skin, etc.

For best results, it is recommended that you use a cleanser before applying additional cream, serum, or lotion. When you cleanse the skin first, you remove dead skin cells and prepare your skin to receive care.

After cleansing the skin, apply the care product. It can be, for example, face cream or body lotion. To combat and prevent dry skin, we recommend using products with hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a unique booster for your skin, giving back the moisture, fullness, and elasticity that your skin lacks with age. Furthermore, hyaluronic acid moisturizes the lower skin layers and is therefore good at retaining the moisture you add. Our Body Lotion and Day Cream are just a few of our products containing hyaluronic acid.

How do I avoid impure skin?

Impure skin can happen in all ages, however, it is most often seen during puberty, when the production of hormones increases. Increased hormone production is the cause of more fat in the skin, which can cause pimples and other impurities.

Impurities are seen more often in adult women than adult men. Cycles and birth control pills can often affect the skin. Impurities, in general, can also be due to stress, bad habits, or diet.

If you suffer from acne and impure skin, or you want to prevent it, it is important to have a good routine and skincare products that can help you.

The first step is a good cleanse. It is important to find a cleanser that suits your skin type. If you have sensitive skin, it is recommended to choose one without perfume. If you have dry skin, it is often an advantage to choose a milder form of cleanser, for example, our Cleansing Milk. If you have a normal skin type with impurities, you can usually use the cleansing product you prefer.

Salicylic acid is, among other things, a good companion when it comes to fighting and keeping impure skin. BHA, as it is also called, is good for removing grease, sweat, dirt, and impurities in a sensitive way. In addition, it is good for keeping the accumulations of sweat and fat down. Our Acne Serum contains salicylic acid and is good for acne as well as other impurities. In addition, our Young series is specially developed for younger skin. Here, the Spotstick is also ideal for combating stubborn impurities.

The right skincare for my age

Your skin changes throughout life, and therefore it may need different routines and products, depending on your age. Your skincare routine should change over the years. With the right skincare routine, you can achieve healthy and fresh-looking skin that is elastic, resilient, and moisturized.

If you are in your 20s, you most likely have healthy, fine, and firm skin. However, it is already important to have a skincare routine to maintain fine young skin. Cleanse your skin each morning and night and use a product that adds moisture, such as our Day Cream24 Hour Cream, or Moisturizing Serum.

In your 30s, you may already be starting to see small fine lines in the skin around your eyes and forehead. To put an end to these signs of aging, you may want to start using an eye cream as part of your skincare routine.

We also recommend using our Moisturizing Mask once a week, as the skin generally becomes drier with age.

When you turn 40, collagen production and cell renewal begin to decline. Your skin becomes less elastic and wrinkles may already start to appear.
To boost collagen production and cell renewal, vitamin A should become part of the skincare routine. Here, our Vitamin A or Firming serum capsules can be used as a cure over a period of time.

If you are 50+ years old and menopausal, your collagen layer is becoming way thinner. Your skin generally becomes thinner and drier and also has less water content. Therefore, the use of anti-aging products in your skincare routine is also essential. Hyaluronic acid is a must when it comes to the anti-aging effect. It is an ingredient that adds moisture to your skin. In addition, it also retains the moisture you add to the skin. Hyaluronic acid you will find for example in our Day Cream and Body Lotion and in our 50+ series.
